The men who stare at goats
Here is the story of how we (Pete Brusso) got connected to the men who stare at goats...
In 2004 I got a call from John Sergeant from the BBC channel 4, who was connected to Jon Ronson. He wanted to know if I knew some about some military programs: MK Ultra and others. Some I knew of and others not so. I agreed to meet them in a few months and show them a few things. They were interested in psychic warrior stuff. Some of what they were asking about was more in line with Ki energy flow and such. They wanted to know if I could set someone on fire by touching them? "yes" I said. They asked if I could freeze someone by touching them? "no" I said. Then they asked if I could kill a goat by staring at it? "I don't know why I would want to as I have never had a goat try to kill me on the battle field", I said. We made an appointment to meet in a few months and I then went to work to set the stage to answer many of their questions.
Enter the Marines. I am connected to the Marine Corps Martial Arts program, as a subject matter expert. I get a chance to work with Marines on many levels and I visit Camp Pendleton often. I thought what a great setting to take these guys on base to immerse them into the Marine Corps culture with Marine Corp Martial Arts classes right around us. I also wanted to introduce them to the predator. The predator was the name that I used for the self-defense weapon before we called it a defender. Regardless, I wanted to expose them to the power of such a simple tool and how it fit into the concept of future warriors and Jedi Knights.
The crew, coming from England, and not being connected to the military, they never got many chances to actually get on a military base. I cleared this through the proper channels at camp Pendleton and we were escorted by public affairs. I took them to an area that we use for Marine Corps martial arts training and we had a class of Marines training right behind us. I introduced Jon Ronson to the predator first by using one of my own gentleman and then using the predator on Jon Ronson. I explained to Jon Ronson that the only way to experience the tea was by tasting it. He had some objections, explained to me that it was fine and that he could watch the demonstration, but I said no. You must experience the predator (now known as the Defender) to be able to accurately write about it. I will put the link here for you to watch a cut down version of his experience. However, before I do that let me explain that we moved to a new location for the rest of the interview. You will see an example of Ki energy where I project my mind into him and then move him across the floor effortlessly. This is the kind of mental energy that Jedi Knights use and most martial artists completely understand; some even harness it.

Jon Ronson on the wrong end of a "predator"! The movie link is to your left...
The program that they were working on came out as a three one-hour programs. These were shown on the BBC channel 4. You can find them, if you're interested to watch them all, at Boing Boing. You can search for the name "crazy rulers of the world". From this series Jon Ronson wrote a book named "the men who stare at goats". The predator got its own chapter and I will give you a link to Google where you can see the book.

The book was also reviewed in Playboy magazine, May 2005 page 50 and 51. I was shocked. I had a friend of mine who works in Hollywood as an extra in many of the top run movies. He took his Playboy magazine with him to work one day, as they sit around waiting for things to do on the set, and he ran directly into my picture then called me. I thought he was kidding. I ran down to the grocery store and purchased a copy to see for myself. And sure enough there I was in Playboy magazine. It of course was a book review on Jon Ronson's book "the men who stare at goats". It wasn't me in a half nude pictorial layout, thank God because I didn't remember ever taking one, and no one would be interested that any way. All kidding aside, it was a shock.

When the book came out many of the military and other individuals in the book were quite upset. I talked to Lt. Col. Jim Channon and several others who were upset at the portrayal of the topic matter both in the BBC TV special and the book. If you haven't had an opportunity to read the first Earth Battalion manual, you might want to do so as it has some very forward thinking concepts. Many of these concepts are actually in practice today and would not have been had it not been for Lt. Col. Channon.
I was contacted several years later about the movie based on the book. I got a chance to see the script, but I didn't see the predator being used in the script at all. I was shocked yesterday to see the movie trailer with the predator being used by George Clooney. If you watch it several times and listen to what he says, then you go back and watch the one clip where I'm working with Jon Ronson, you'll hear all the similar vernacular. Essentially, you're listening to my words coming out of George Clooney's mouth. I'm sure the movie is going to upset many of the original individuals in this work, as the BBC special and book did, however it least brings many of the first Earth Battalion concepts into the light. As they say in Hollywood "there is no such thing as bad press". I'm not always so sure I agree with that however I have talked with many people who went and learned about the First Earth Battalion, and now they are converts.
