However, if you purchase a tool other then the Defender 1, you can then purchase the training DVD separately. It's a series of 5 files to download, all mpeg2 files and Mp4 (iPod or Mac) so that you can view them on various types of software. They are each 600 Megs each, so have a good DSL line.

This is our basic product, or you might think of this as a starting product. This product comes with a two-hour self-defense weapon training program; which is a revolutionary product in itself. The DVD covers everything you need to know on how to use your defender. This box set also includes a defender 1 self-defense weapon. The only addition that one might want to purchase would be a lanyard. From this DVD you can also learn the use of the majority of defender models so again this is a great starting place to learn what the self defense weapon can do for you and your personal defense. Great for home defense, womens self defense, and it's your best self defense!

Note: Lanyards can come in either white or gold cord depending on what is commercially available at the time.

A lanyard for the Self Defense Weapon

The Lanyard for the self defense weapon (defender and hook not included). The lanyard is a quick release mechanism on two small cords. The cords attach to a hook or to you web gear or to your belt loop. You can attach the cord to most anything. The you attach the cord to your defender, thus it “hangs” ready for use. All you have to do is grab your defender and pull, it snaps off the quick release and you are ready to defend yourself. The lanyard, we used to make long so you can “customize” it for your desired hanging length. It has become a moot point as most like the smaller cords. However, that said, if you want a longer one, you can use the quick release parts, get some cord, and you can customize your own.
