Getting qualified to teach the defender self defense weapon is great for personal self defense, womens self defense, home safety, to help stop a successful home invasion, fits into your best defense strategies. This self defense weapon was invented by Pete Brusso, used to be called the predator as seen in the men who stare at goats movie but now is called the defender.
SENIOR INSTRUCTOR GABRIEL SAUNDERS- Started the practice of martial arts when he was 11 years old. Being born in Missouri (Show Me State) and having a family that moved from place to place due to his fathers job, Gabriel learned early in life that being able to defend oneself is important. At that age Gabriel began taking Karate/Self Defense lessons from a Vietnam Veteran named Johnny Rae. This began Gabriel's journey into the realm of personal defense, which has shaped his life forever.
Gabriel, a Veteran of the US Army (Persian Gulf) served four years in the military. Upon leaving the military he became a Bounty Hunter in the 1990's (seven captures in a year). After that time before becoming an instructor he had various jobs as security, and bouncer work all of which he excelled to the top in supervising, and management. Gabriel has studied the warrior philosophies of times past and present. The styles will be listed below in more detail.

Presently Gabriel is living in Cottontown Tn (20 min from Nashville TN). He is also a Falun Dafa Practioner for spirit, mind and body. Having the wonderful opportunity to read and study the 1st Earth Battalion Field Manual various ideas were set in place within S.I. Gabriel's remarkable mind. The practice of self defense as studied by Gabriel with some of the best instructors since and early age, a realistic self defense method was created. Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, Wing Chun, American boxing, kung fu, Aikido, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Nippo, pressure point strikes , chakra point strikes, submission fighting, weapons disarms, Capoeira, Brazilian Jujitsu, Jeet Kune Do, and Jun Fan were amongst the many styles integrated to create this system of scenario based/solution based self defense. Truly a combat mixed martial art concept was invented.
Gabriel now teaches private and group lessons on the scenario based/solution based self-defense system. He also started Rizing Sun Real Self Defense Training in the Nashville Tn area. Currently staying busy instructing students, his school of instruction is also accepting new students on a daily basis. Rizing Sun will be the future of martial arts schools in the State of Tennessee.
